Waste2coag in Ecofira 2022

On October 4^th, 5^th and 6^th of this year, in Ecofira, the international fair of environmental solutions and ecologic transition, experts from AIDIMME carried out tasks for the dissemination of the project Waste2coag.

The project, coordinated by Global Omnium, investigates a viable and profitable solution for the valorisation of brines and metal wastes by the creation of a sustainable coagulant, as an alternative to the commercial ones used currently.

Ecofira, as a consolidated contest and a reference for professionals and companies in the field, is the ideal setting for the dissemination of the Waste2coag project.

The project centers its research in achieving specific objectives.

Firstly, the main objective is the presentation of an innovative and profitable technology based on the electrolysis of residues to produce coagulants for the elimination of contaminants in wastewater, including emerging contaminants and pathogens.

The concentration of coagulants will be modified on demand, just like the chemical nature of the inorganic salt with a simple polarity inversion to obtain multiple formulations of products.

Finally, these products will be used to ensure quality effluents in urban and industrial WWTPs.
